The extra amount built into prices on both sides is part of how a sportsbook creates a margin. You may hear this called the vig, juice or hold.
What to remember
Because of that margin, the raw implied probabilities of both sides can add up to more than 100%. Who Wins on Sunday? shows both raw market context and a normalized no-vig view when the necessary prices are available.
